Description: Histology showing marked solar elastosis

History:

Man aged 84, previous melanomas including blue nevus like  metastatic melanomas on the leg which I presented last year. This time he comes in pointing out 3 blue lesions on his forearm. He denied seeing them before and they had not previously been noted when a skin check was performed. It was thought they were metastatic but histology of all three showed dermal pigmentation of a tattoo.

Foreign bodies can present like this but metastases rather than multiple blue nevi is the likeliest pigmented lesion to present like this.
